My Father's World

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." ~ John 1:1-14

"For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven." ~ Colossians 1:16-20

This kinda reminds me of Easter, the day Jesus resurrected, beat the power of death, and ascended into Heaven after 40 days.

This is not fiction, it is real; as real as the ultimate sacrifice He paid at the cross for your sins, my sins, and the sins of the whole world; as real as the minute He gave up the ghost, the devil has been defeated right on the spot; as real as the day the soldiers were sent running and the stones turned upside down and Jesus came out of that tomb risen, that the power of death did not even stand a chance; as real as His ascension into Heaven after 40 good days.

That, is why Easter is celebrated.

You may be wondering, "Why would He even do that for me if I don't even believe in Him anyways?" Because He loves you. And to add to it, God loves the sinner (including the murders, the homosexuals, the adulterers, etc.) but He DOES NOT, approve of their sin.
That is why He sent His one and only Son Jesus Christ to die for their sins, your sins, my sins, and the sins of the whole world, so that they can be set free from the bondage of sin. 

Why? Because God's forgiveness is just as available to all, whether you are a student, a teacher, a churchgoer, a doctor, old or young, rich or poor, salvation is available to all. And God promises that if you turn from your sins and put your trust in Him like you trust a parachute, He will save you from the power and punishment of sin.
